报告摘要:

      His academic interest is “designer” materials and application devices, which is characterized by multi-functional modelling, advanced characterization techniques esp. TEM, EELS and XPS, and advanced thin film coating technologies. His current focus is on sustainable (renewable) energy systems and environmental technologies. He is also proactive in bridging academic knowledge with manufacturing, resulting in commercialization of inventions covering mass production of extremely low-defect graphene and processing facilities.

       It is of great importance to develop new energy materials based on green and sustainable resources cost-effectively, in order to address the pressing energy crisis and mitigate environmental problems associated with the use of fossil fuel.  Here we demonstrate a designer approach, via theoretical modelling to guide practical delivery of novel energy materials, covering key materials for novel PV cells and metal ion batteries. We pay particular attention to first principles prediction of energy landscape with respect to composition and temperature, and simulation of key functionalities as well as theory guided experimental exploitation.

 

报告人简介:

       邵国胜教授1995年毕业于英国萨里大学(University of Surrey 材料科学与工程专业,并随后担任研究员和高级研究员, 2005年担任布鲁内尔大学(Brunel University)工学院副教授一职。他于2007年加入波尔顿大学,担任材料建模与仿真学院的教授,之后成立了可再生能源与环境技术研究所(IREET2011年)并担任其创始理事,同时还担任工程负责人。邵国胜教授于2010年入选“千人计划”,现在是郑州大学低碳及环境材料国际联合实验室(CDLCEM)主任,郑州新世纪材料基因组工程研究院(ZMGI2016)的院长,英国萨里大学的客座教授(2018-)。
