报告摘要:

Polymers in general are highly folded. The folding nature can, however, be controlled with appropriately designed monomeric units. The p-systems in these poymers are thus well oriented so that the interactions between them can be elucidated. Three polymeric systems will be discussed in this presentation. Inteactions between linkders in ladderphanes 1 have been examined.1 The mode of interactions between linkers has been used to understand the nature of aggregation induced emission.2 The second system concerns with interactions between chromophores appended to polycycloalkenes 2. The stereochemistry of double bonds in the polymeric backbone in 2 may direct the orientation of the appended chromophores, and hence the photophysical properties of polymers.3 The third kind of polymers is more flexible alternating conjugated chromophore-silylene or methylene copolymers 3.3  In this regard, adjacent chromophores are arranged as V-shaped orientation. Interactions between these chromophores offer rich characteristic photophysical properties (ground state interactions, FRET, PET, etc) in these polymers.4,5 The nature of linkers in 3 (black spots) also play a pivotal role to dictate the photophysical properties of these polymers.

报告人简介:

陆天尧教授1967年毕业于台湾大学1974年于美国芝加哥大学获博士学位1974-1976年美国明尼苏达大学博士后研究1976-1989年任职香港中文大学讲师和高级讲师1988年至今任职台湾大学化学系2006年起任台湾大学讲座教授是国际知名的高分子化学家先后担任台湾中央研究院化学研究所特聘研究员兼所长日本京都大学和德国马普煤炭研究所客座教授获得中国化学会台湾学术奖教育部国家讲座教授教育部学术奖行政院杰出科学技术人才奖国科会杰出研究奖等荣誉担任Chem.
